Welcome Angela Richardson

Angela Richardson is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a dedicated advocate for using food as fuel for performance. With a background in bodybuilding, half-marathons, and Spartan races, Angela understands how impactful nutrition can be in enhancing energy, recovery, and overall well-being.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Middle Tennessee State University and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Lipscomb University, where she also completed her dietetic internship.

Throughout her experience as both a personal trainer and dietitian, Angela has discovered a common trend: athletes and clients often invest time in improving their strength, endurance, and techniques, but they frequently overlook or misunderstand their fueling habits and relationship with food. While many know how to train their bodies, they often lack the knowledge to nourish them properly for optimal performance and long-term health.

Angela has also realized the strong connection between mental and physical performance. Nutrition plays a critical role in influencing focus, motivation, recovery, and emotional regulation, the same areas that sport psychology seeks to enhance. This insight prompted her to collaborate with the White House Sport Psychology team to bridge the gap between mental and physical performance. Angela’s goal is to help athletes overcome challenges such as inconsistent energy levels and under fueling.

Through personalized, evidence-based nutrition education, Angela teaches athletes how to nourish their bodies for peak performance, quicker recovery, and a stronger mindset, helping them excel and enjoy their sport. She’s passionate about empowering athletes to feel strong, confident, and capable, both in their sport and in life. Angela believes that when nutrition and mindset work together, athletes can not only achieve their goals, but truly thrive.
