Join the White House University Program

Many athletes and families are juggling packed schedules, with school, practice, dinner, homework, and everything in between. Finding time to work on the mental side of performance can feel like just another challenge. That’s why we created our White House University Programs.

These programs are great for athletes who want to strengthen their mental game without missing school or disrupting their routine. Current programs:

  • Fundamental Tools, Strategies, and Techniques of a Strong Mental Game
  • Coping with the Mental Toll of Injury and Surgery
  • Foundations of Mindfulness in Sport

Each program runs for four weeks and is designed to build core mental skills in a way that fits into a busy schedule. Sessions are held online, giving athletes the chance to learn not only from the instructor but also from other athletes going through similar experiences.

Every program focuses on practical tools athletes can apply right away to handle the challenges they’re facing both in sport and beyond.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an easy conversation. We’ll talk through what’s been happening, what you want to improve, and where you feel stuck. This helps us lay the foundation needed to build the right mental tools, strategies, and techniques for you.

Do you offer single sessions or packages?

Most athletes see the best results with a structured package of sessions. Mental skills take practice (just like physical training), so we work together over an initial set of sessions rather than one-off visits.

How many sessions do athletes usually need?

It truly depends on what you’re working on, the goals you have, and how you approach your sport psychology training. Most athletes complete 8-12 appointments. However, many athletes train their mental game with us on-and-off throughout the year (similar to other forms of private coaching and personal training), while others resolve very specific problems via a shorter, focused stretch of appointments.

Do you work with younger athletes or just college/pro?

All of the above. We work with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes, and we adjust how we teach based on age and personality. For younger athletes, sessions are engaging, practical, and easy to understand (not lecture-style).

What kinds of things can sport psychology help with?

We commonly help athletes with:

  • Handling pressure and expectations
  • Performance anxiety or nerves
  • Confidence and self-doubt
  • Focus and concentration
  • Mental blocks and the “yips”
  • Returning from injury, surgery, and rehab
  • Performing consistently in practice and competition

If it’s mental, we can work on it.
