Why We Created the White House Semi-Private Training Program
Practice. School. Homework. Dinner. Then practice again tomorrow.
For most young athletes, the schedule doesn’t leave much room for anything extra—let alone something as important as their mental game.
We hear it all the time from athletes and families: “I know this would help. I just don’t know where I’d fit it in.”
That’s a real problem. And it’s one we built White House Semi-Private Training (WH-SPT) to solve.
A Gap We Kept Running Into
Our 1-on-1 work will always be the most personalized way to train the mental side of sport. But personalized isn’t always practical, not for every family, not for every schedule, and not for every budget.
Some athletes need a fully individualized plan built around their specific challenges. Others just need consistent, expert-led training that fits into a weeknight instead of competing with it.
Up until now, we didn’t have a great answer for that second group. White House Semi-Private Training changes that.
What Is White House Semi-Private Training?
White House Semi-Private Training is a semi-private, small-group mental skills program built for athletes who want to strengthen their mental game without missing school, disrupting practice, or overhauling their routine.
Here’s how it works:
- 45-minute virtual sessions, held in the evening
- 30 minutes of expert-led instruction, followed by 15 minutes of responsive Q&A
- 4 weekly sessions per program
- Small groups of 4–8 athletes, so you’re learning alongside others working through similar challenges, not just from an instructor, but from each other
- Guided notes and practice implication that go beyond session
Every program is built around practical tools athletes can apply immediately, both in their sport and outside of it.
Our Current Curriculum
The Fundamentals of a Strong Mindset
A 4-week course designed specifically for high school athletes balancing sport, school, and everything in between. Registration is open now!
Across four sessions, athletes will learn how to:
- Silence the inner critic and coach themselves to a win
- Make confidence actionable and consistent
- Block out distractions and lock in on what’s important
- Overcome challenges and bounce back from failure
This program is built on research-backed tools and strategies athletes can start using the very next time they step on the field, court, or track. We have identified these topics as some of the most common struggles and most fundamental skills to a strong mental game.
Future Offerings
Keep an eye out for the following courses, more details coming soon:
- Coping with the Mental toll of Injury and Surgery
